KNOXVILLE, TENN. – February 13, 2025 – UT Federal Credit Union (UTFCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenyon Warren as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 3, 2025. Warren, a seasoned financial services executive with over 25 years of experience in banking, community banking, and credit unions, will succeed Debbie Jones, who is set to retire after nearly thirty years of service to UT Federal Credit Union.
Warren joins UTFCU from University Federal Credit Union in Austin, Texas, where he has served as Chief Retail Officer, overseeing key initiatives in member service, operational growth, and retail banking innovation. A transformational leader, Warren brings a strong track record of driving growth while maintaining a deep commitment to member-focused service, culture, and operational excellence.
“After an extensive national search, we are thrilled to welcome Kenyon as the next CEO of UT Federal Credit Union,” said Mike McNeil, Board Chair of UTFCU. “Kenyon embodies the leadership qualities, strategic vision, and people-first mindset that align with UTFCU’s mission and values. We are confident that he will build on our strong foundation and continue driving our growth while remaining steadfast in our commitment to serving our members and communities.”
Warren’s appointment follows a nationwide selection process by UTFCU’s Board of Directors, which carefully evaluated numerous candidates to identify the best leader for the credit union’s next chapter.
“I am honored to join UT Federal Credit Union as its next CEO,” said Kenyon Warren. “This credit union has a strong legacy of service, financial strength, and deep connections with its members and community. I look forward to working with the talented UTFCU team to continue building on its success and delivering exceptional value to our members.”
As Warren steps into his new role, Debbie Jones, who has been an integral part of UTFCU’s growth, will retire in March after almost 20 years as the organization’s CEO. Jones joined the credit union in 1996 as Vice President, Finance, becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2000, and President & CEO in 2005. Under her leadership, UTFCU has experienced significant growth and expansion while maintaining its commitment to personalized financial solutions and community impact.
“On behalf of the board, employees and our members, I extend our deepest gratitude to Debbie for her dedication, leadership, and contributions to UT Federal Credit Union,” added McNeil. “Her leadership and hard work have helped shape the credit union into what it is today, and we wish her the very best in her well-earned retirement.”
With Warren’s leadership and UTFCU’s strong team and member base, the credit union is well-positioned for continued growth and success in the years ahead.
