Planning on taking a short trip out of town, or flying overseas for a family vacation? Here are a few resources to help you prepare and ensure all goes smoothly on the financial front while you’re away from home.
Travel Notification
Taking a trip? Let us know! Whether it’s an overnight getaway or a month-long trip around the world, submitting a travel notice will help us identify transactions you make versus those that could be made by a fraudster. Without a travel notice, you may find your debit or credit card blocked by our anti-fraud system.
There are four ways you can notify UTFCU of your travel plans:
Login to Online or Mobile Banking and send us a secure message
Give us a call @ (865) 971-1971 or (800) 264-1971
Stop by any UTFCU branch location
Travel Money
Visa TravelMoney is a prepaid, reloadable Visa debit card which offers travelers a safer, more convenient alternative to traveler’s checks and cash.
In addition to being accepted by millions of merchants worldwide, TravelMoney cards can also be used at an ATM for quick access to your funds.
Card Alerts
UTFCU Card Alerts allow you to receive text message or email alerts when your card is used. You will be able to set custom alerts for specified transaction types and dollar amounts.
Online & Mobile Banking
While you may not be near a branch, there is a virtual branch just a few clicks away! Use Online & Mobile banking to keep tabs on your accounts, make transfers, submit payments, or contact UTFCU via secure messaging.
Lost or Stolen Cards
If any of your UTFCU cards are lost or stolen while traveling, please contact the numbers below immediately.
To report a lost or stolen credit card, call (866) 820-3943.
To report a lost or stolen debit card, please call (866) 820-8849.
Shared Branching
If you find yourself in a situation where you need to access your UTFCU account, but you aren’t near a local branch, you can utilize the CO-OP Shared Branching Network.
When you use a Shared Branch, you simply provide a photo ID, give them the name of your credit union and your account number, and you are able to make transactions, such as: balance inquiries, withdrawals, deposits, and transfers. You can search for CO-OP Shared Branches directly from our website.
