UT Federal Credit Union (UTFCU) proudly joined credit unions across Tennessee to bring holiday joy to communities by surprising shoppers with free groceries. As part of the Tennessee Credit Union League's Grocery Giveaway Campaign, credit unions collectively covered over $62,000 in grocery bills at 32 stores statewide.

This initiative, rooted in the credit union philosophy of "people helping people," aimed to ease financial burdens and make holiday celebrations brighter for Tennessee families. At participating stores, shoppers were met with unexpected kindness as their grocery bills were paid in full or partially covered by the credit union volunteers.

The campaign brought smiles, tears, and heartfelt gratitude from recipients. Witnessing the joy and relief on people's faces was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when credit unions come together to make a difference.

UT Federal Credit Union employees embraced the opportunity to participate, joining 175 credit union professionals statewide who volunteered their time to share kindness and hope during the holiday season.

The Grocery Giveaway Campaign exemplifies credit unions' cooperative nature and commitment to serving communities. UTFCU is honored to have been part of this initiative and looks forward to continuing efforts that reflect the values of service, generosity, and community impact.
